Celebration and wedding cakes come in a variety of flavours including Madagascan vanilla, lemon, raspberry, strawberry, chocolate, rose, amaretto, and champagne (rose and champagne are beautiful flavours for wedding cakes). Buttercream fillings and toppings can also come in the same flavours or a combination (raspberry and rose are delicious together). You can also choose to have a traditional fruit cake (fruit cakes will require three month's notice to allow the cake to mature).
Your cake can either be covered in smooth buttercream or velvety ganache (with a variety of textured finishes) or you can you choose to have your cake covered in fondant and designed to match your occasion or theme (including sugar flower work, which will be priced separately to your cake). You can have as much or as little input into the design of your cake as you would like.
Prices very much depend on the size of your cake, whether it is a fruit or a sponge cake, and the level of design and decoration required. As a guide, a 6” sponge cake will start from £35.
Celebration cakes will require a deposit of 50% on ordering with the balance to be paid on collection.
Your wedding cake is very unique to you and therefore you will need a full face to face consultation to discuss your requirements. Consultations are free of charge.
Once you book your wedding cake, that date is yours alone (I will not take any other orders for that date) - you can choose to collect your wedding cake or it can be transported to your venue and set up for you.
Please note that wedding cakes will generally require three month's notice (four months for fruit cakes) although it is always better to order your cake as soon as you have set your wedding date.
